In March 2024, I picked up an early ’50s Marbelite with a full set of Houzex-Marbelite No. 6540 lenses. The signal was damaged, but the lenses thankfully were all unbroken. I parted the light out and kept the undamaged amber segment to display as a single-face beacon. The red lens completed the set in my Hoboken Marbelite.

I dressed up the light with a pair of repro Marbelite fins made by Dave Conrad at Baltimore Foundry Works. I also put on a repro cutaway visor made by Stave Tutty in Colorado. For the flash, I installed a Traffic Sensor Corp solid state flasher. The resulting blinker is a handsome li’l devil which now adorns the shed in our back yard.
