A common sight on street corners across New Jersey in the 20th century were the round Public Service bus station markers featuring a lovely graphic of a trolley bus from the 1930s. Most New Jerseyans my age and older can remember these graceful signs. There was one posted around the block from my house into the 1980s or ’90s. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few stragglers are still out there in poorer neighborhoods.
These signs do show up for sale online pretty regularly. I found this one at an antique store in Chester, NJ years ago, when they were not often available online.
