Like the Novalux 3-color signal I previously owned, this is a “wide hinge” style GE Novalux, manufactured approximately between 1933 and 1937. This is a two-lamp housing in which I installed WAIT and WALK lenses for use as a pedestrian signal. Interestingly, the sheet metal visors are made of steel, rather than aluminum. My prior Novalux had the more typical aluminum visors. I love the graceful columnar style of these Novaluxes, and I’m grateful to put one back into my collection.
